There is ample room for writing in this bible as well as numerous blank pages and end pages where I have already been adding verses and comments to. I love that the cross-references arent superscripted into the text. I love the language and style of the RSV. Thank you EVB, All my needs were fulfilled with this edition. The RSV tends to be my favorite translation to use, but like most translations that have Catholic editions, they are rarely made with the care and elegance for which the Schuyler bibles are known. (I felt like the character Tim Taylor around a new set of power tools in the 90s TV show Home Improvement.) I take the Scepter Daily Bible to Mass with me and there is very little difference from the lectionary except that I prefer the language of the RSV. Well, that would be true, but it contains all the books in the Catholic canon (as well as the Orthodox ones) with the inclusion of the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical section at the back of the bible, much like the beloved NOAB w/Expanded Apocrypha. Cardinal Richard Cushing gave the imprimatur to that edition. Im very happy for an excellent edition of the RSV. Its absolutely stunning. While the text does drop away from the eye into the gutter, it is easy to adjust the Bible to present a flat reading surface to the eye.The 10 point font in this Bible is darker and bolder than in other Quentel editions I've seen. The full yap cover rivals those that Ive had rebound before. Well they're incredible that's why. Other bibles on my shelf have a similar construction, but this Schuyler edition has a more pronounced difference in thickness than most others I own. Brand New.
